Mr. James N. Strang, well known in Westchester Agricultural
circles, was honored by the Yorktown Grange at their 60th Anniversary. Mr. Strang, on of
the two surviving Charter Members of the Yorktown Grange, had served as the first overseer
and 2nd Grange Master; he is a life long member of the Westchester County Agricultural
Extension Service; had been a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Farm
Bureau for many years; he served as Yorktown Town Supervisor and has been active in
education having been a member of the Yorktown School Board for many years.
