Lake Mohegan

Lake Mohegan from South (left) to North, is home to several homeowner associations, which maintain individual beaches and boating docks on the lake. Included are Mohegan Colony, Amazon Park, Alpine Woods, Mohegan Beach Park, Mohegan Highlands, Shrub Oak Lake Estates, Lakeside Colony, New Chalet and Villas on the Lake. The Mohegan Lake District, spanning portions of the Towns of Yorktown and Cortlandt, encompasses some 1500 households and manages the 100 acre lake.
