History

Yorktown is rich in historical heritage and rich in scenic beauty. Nestled on the Croton River, near the confluence of the Croton and Hudson, and just below the Highlands, Yorktown was a strategic location during the Revolutionary War. During the ensuing centuries, the town matured into a thriving farming community and eventually into a vibrant suburban center.
